Stay Dry: How to Camp in the Rain

Rain doesn’t have to ruin your trip—it can add a fresh sense of challenge and peace. At Camping Crusaders, we believe with the right gear, any weather is good camping weather.

Always pack a waterproof tent with a strong rainfly and sealed seams. Set up on higher ground to avoid puddles. Add a tarp under your tent and another overhead for a dry cooking area.

Wear breathable rain jackets, quick-drying layers, and waterproof boots. Store gear in dry bags or trash liners. With a little prep, rain becomes part of the experience—not a reason to pack up.
